So… uh… I kinda like wanted to write long posts (yeah, at least two) over the weekend but well, I came back home from cinema on Friday and felt extremely “whatever, fuck it” about everything. I swear I was in so bad mood I barely left bed over the weekend, grumping around at everyone. I made however two fatal discoveries as I was browsing my TV Shows folder looking for anything that I haven’t seen yet (NCIS, Black Books and Being Dead are all fine, but not the tenth time over) – the first discovery was Chuck – a TV series by NBC about a guy who soaks up all joint knowledge-base of CIA and NSA and is assigned two agents for protection. I thought the series extremely sucked but after episode 4-5 I got extremely hooked. And by extremely hooked I mean I managed to down series 1 and 2 and first 5 episodes of series 3 in a row, with barely taking food breaks and some lousy 6 hours of sleep during this marathon. Go figure how much work I did. Hell I even got soo hooked I am now registered and posting at various Chuck boards and I am waiting every Monday for new S3 episode to be aired (damn olympic break, really). The second discovery was that Yvonne Strahovski (Agent Sarah Walker) is not only cutie, but frikkin hot chick. Well that is my lame excuse while following text was not printed over the weekend. What’s yours for not doing anything? Well, let’s get some work done now then, shall we?

So, Wrath of the Lich King…
February 2, 2010Arthas is being deployed on US servers tonight and we EU folks are getting him tomorrow, which means, Wrath of the Lich King is over. There are no more groundbreaking game changes going to be made, no substantial class design changes. No more awesome features being deployed. Not until Cataclysm patch anyways. As I missed the “2009 of reviews” bandwagon in blogosphere, I will take the moment now to look back at what WOTLK has brought, both good and bad.
It is probably the richest expansion for class changes and balancing, for PvE development and changes. For me as a player it is the most unstable expansion, as I changed few guilds, tried this and that to finally land on my new main, Rahana as restoration shaman, fully focusing on pure 10M progress. And hell yeah, I guess all the nostalgia to write this post comes from the fact that it is cold, dark in here and there are again falling tons of that white shit down outside and I will have to clean the driveway.

Shameless P(l)UGs
February 1, 2010Seriously, I am done PuGging. Like for real, dawgs. Well, at least on my low level alts. It’s just not worth it, really isn’t:

Talents? I has them!
February 1, 2010So, another part of the Restoration guide for Dummies. Seeing that my last post stirred up a bit the waters with my comment about HW usage, please let me restate again that this series are intended as introductory to shaman healing and well, let’s admit it, tank healing and extensive usage of HW is something you won’t get around to do as probie shaman. If even this is not enough and you long after more precise and detailed description, please head over to Life in Group 5 and read the two amazing posts by Vixsin on the matters of Healing Wave and tank healing.
Now, when that is clear, on with the show!

Invincible rant!
January 29, 2010So, I just opened my PC and read this about Invincible. Well I believe everyone saw it coming and we can’t really be surprised, but it still pissed me to no end. Why the hell they even try to keep up some 10M progression if they are not really ready to give out “same” rewards? No, I don’t want to have a shot in high budgeted gear. However, I was really looking forward to having this mount. But well:
Q. Is the mount available in both 10 and 25 Heroic?
A. Invincible will only be available in the 25-person Heroic encounter with the Lich King.

Officers…
January 28, 2010Yeah I know I was slacking lately, got some quite busy week that didn’t really work out, so I am as well still even more grumpy than my usual grumpy level and I am running behind on pretty much every deadline. So I decided to move Blueberry Totem near to the bottom of priority list (well I am not getting money for it) so the quite-lengthy-and-wall-of-textish post about talents is postponed till tomorrow (or Sunday). Yeah, I hate myself too.

But, there is something deserving at least little post that came up yesterday in our officer forum. Do we need another officer? Do we want one?

Weapons of Choice
January 25, 2010This is the second part of the lightweight restoration shaman guide by Rahana. In this part we will be dealing with simple spell overview and talk through any and all spells that should not be missing from your bars.
Restoration shamans have quite interesting spells in their arsenal, and even the only “visible” healing spell in game. As well, that “visible” healing spell is the spell this class got well- known for. But there are way more spells we are (should be) using for and while healing than one shiny healing lazor called Chain Heal.

Restoration Shaman series…
January 22, 2010You can always find posts and articles stating that “this healer class sux” and that everyone should abandon it and go roll druid/paladin/priest/shaman. Don’t trust those posts. All healing classes are equal to the point they all excel at something; the important thing is realizing this fact and finding and improving the areas of play where your class is good at.
For this reason, I decided to write lightweight, easy to understand and not-so-serious guide about shaman healing. The very first part of the guide will try to present you reasons to roll a healer. But not only that, to roll a restoration shaman.

Blueberry Pie
January 21, 2010Earlier today I found this awesome recipe for Blueberry Pie and I salivated much, so on the way home from work I stopped at the shop and bought canned Blueberries. Yeah, they were yuck compared to fresh, real blueberries, but it were blueberries. Somewhere deep inside. Deep deep. And it has to be on this blog! So, what is your favourite dessert?

Rotface and Putricide
January 20, 2010This Monday and Wednesday we finally scraped up some bodies to be able to go and take on Rotface and Putricide. From the last attempts on Rotface I was rather pesimistic about it and well, there are only rumours about Putricide, not far from describing him as something merging Freddy Krueger and a full Space Marine platoon would look like. And they’d ride Raptors with Jetpacks. I was really pleasantly surprised that both went smooth. Well, we didn’t down Putricide, okay, but after the two proper tries on him we were quite steadily getting into Phase 3 without much problems and we twice wiped on 300K. How annoying is that. But hey, we got the fight down and we just need a little bit of luck and a little bit of more output from everyone and he is dead. Not us. Him.
